By Air
Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) serves North Carolina’s Research Triangle Region, as well as many communities in the central and eastern areas of the state and southern Virginia. The Research Triangle Region is anchored by the cities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club is located only 20 minutes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Airport Transfer Options

Private Sedan A towncar can be arranged through the hotel. Advance reservations are required; please call the hotel at (919) 490-0999 and ask for the Concierge or Bell Desk.

Taxi RDU Airport Taxi Service is operated by RDU Taxi, Inc. through an agreement with the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. RDU Airport Taxi provides service to and from RDU. To schedule a taxi, please call (919) 840-7277 or make a reservation at RDUTaxiinc.com. Reservations and on-demand service are available.

SuperShuttle SuperShuttle offers shared-ride van service from RDU to destinations throughout the Triangle region. The company accepts reservations through their web site as well as at one of three SuperShuttle counters at RDU.

Rental Car Eight rental car agencies are located at RDU and are a quick shuttle bus ride from the terminals. Shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes and stop on each terminal curb near the baggage claim areas. Please look for the green bus shelters marked Rental Car. FROM R.D.U. AIRPORT, RALEIGH, AND POINTS EAST

FROM I-85 NORTH (Coming from the South - Greensboro, High Point, Charlotte)
Follow I-85 North to exit 172, which is Route 147 South (Durham Freeway)
Continue on 147 South for less than 1 mile to exit 16B, which is 15/501 South Bypass
Follow 15/501 South approximately 1 mile to exit 107, Duke University West Campus
At the bottom of the exit, turn left onto Cameron Blvd
Continue on Cameron Blvd to the 3rd traffic light, which is Science Drive
Turn right at Science Drive into the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club

FROM I-85 SOUTH (Coming from the North - Virginia and Points North)
Follow I-85 South to 15/501 South Bypass (Exit 174A)
Follow 15/501 South approximately 1½ miles to exit 107, Duke University West Campus At the bottom of the exit, turn left onto Cameron Blvd
Continue on Cameron Blvd to the 3rd traffic light, which is Science Drive
Turn right at Science Drive into the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club

FROM I-40 EAST (Coming from the West - Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem, Asheville)
Follow I-40 East to exit 270, which is 15/501
Turn left onto 15/501 North (towards Durham)
Continue on 15/501 North for approximately 2 miles and 15/501 Business will split to the left
Stay to the right to remain on 15/501 North towards downtown Durham
Follow 15/501 North for approximately 2 more miles to exit 107, Duke University West Campus
At the bottom of the exit, turn right onto Cameron Blvd
Continue on Cameron Blvd to the second traffic light, which is Science Drive.
Turn right at Science Drive into the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club
